Privacy Policy
1. Scope and Controller
Working Answer Group LLC ("Working Answer Group," "we," or "us") is a Maryland limited liability company, Department ID W27745116. This Privacy Policy covers personal information collected through our public website, contact and engagement request forms, newsletter signups, and related communications (the "Site"). Working Answer Group is responsible for determining the purposes of the collection described here. Separate client agreements may govern information processed when we are providing services to clients.
2. Personal Information We Collect
We collect contact and professional information you supply, including your name, business or organization, work email, telephone number, position where provided, and correspondence. We collect project and inquiry information, including descriptions of business problems, proposed services, uploaded files and their contents, and information you include in free-text fields. We may collect subscription preferences and unsubscribe records. Site services and analytics may automatically collect IP address, device and browser characteristics, approximate location derived from IP address, referring pages, activity on our Site, cookie or similar identifiers, and security logs. We do not request passwords, government-classified information, sensitive regulated records, or payment-card information through public forms.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to respond to inquiries; evaluate and scope proposed projects; communicate with potential clients; coordinate with personnel and suitable consulting specialists; review files sent to us; maintain internal records; administer the Site and connected CRM, email, and storage systems; analyze website traffic and improve content; protect security and prevent misuse; meet legal and contractual requirements; and, only under a suitable legal basis and applicable consent requirements, send optional newsletters and marketing communications. We do not treat assent to an MNDA or Terms of Service as permission to receive marketing emails.
4. Sources and Legal Bases
Most inquiry and subscription information comes directly from you. Technical information is collected automatically through the Site and services it uses. Where applicable privacy laws require a legal basis, we rely as appropriate on your consent (including for optional marketing or nonessential cookies when required), our legitimate interests in responding to business inquiries and securing and improving our Site, steps you request before entering a contract, and compliance with legal duties. You may withdraw consent where applicable without affecting lawful earlier processing.
5. Sharing and Service Providers
We share relevant inquiry content and attachments with Working Answer Group personnel and consultants, including specialists supporting the subject of your inquiry, only as needed for evaluation or delivery and subject to applicable confidentiality obligations. Our service providers may process information for website hosting, form handling, and security (including Cloudflare), secure delivery of submitted assessment and consultation notifications, business email, customer relationship management (CRM), document storage (including Google Drive or Microsoft 365 where used), website analytics, and email marketing. A CRM or analytics vendor is not identified by name here because the specific integration may change; its collection and processing will depend on what is actually enabled. We may also disclose information where law requires it, to protect legal rights or safety, or as part of a lawful business transfer subject to applicable protections. We do not sell or rent visitor personal information, business assessment responses, inquiry attachments, or customer project submissions. Before beginning either self-guided assessment, we ask for the business or planned business name, business email, basic location, and affirmative acknowledgment that the completed answers and scores will be submitted to Working Answer Group. At completion, the Site attempts to deliver the results to our business inbox. The visitor receives the results on-screen and may print or save a PDF; we do not automatically email a copy to the visitor. We may respond only for a relevant reason connected with the assessment or inquiry. We do not enroll assessment visitors in marketing without a separate, optional opt-in.
6. Website Analytics, Cookies and Choices
Hosting and website functionality may place essential cookies or similar technologies for Site operation and security. The Site also may use traffic analytics, including Google Analytics or comparable services, to understand page visits, traffic sources, and general performance; these tools can process online identifiers and usage data. If nonessential analytics or marketing cookies are active, we will provide notice and obtain consent or provide other choices where required by applicable law. You may also manage cookies through browser settings and, where supplied, the Site cookie controls. Disabling cookies can affect some functions. We will update this Policy if additional advertising pixels, cross-site tracking, or new categories of cookies are introduced.
7. Email and Marketing Preferences
You can choose to subscribe to newsletters or other promotional updates using a separate optional selection. We also send nonmarketing communications relating to requests you submit and potential or current engagements. Marketing messages will identify Working Answer Group and provide an effective way to unsubscribe; we honor unsubscribe requests as required by law and retain a minimal suppression record to respect your choice. Commercial marketing emails will include a valid postal address as required by applicable law. We do not condition an engagement request or MNDA acceptance on signing up for marketing.
8. Files and Confidential Information
Engagement forms may permit attachments. Submit only information you are authorized to disclose, and avoid credentials, classified information, regulated health data, protected investigative records, and other high-risk records through an ordinary public form. Where we and the submitting party enter into a valid mutual non-disclosure agreement (MNDA), the MNDA governs covered confidential business information. This Policy addresses the personal-information aspects of submissions and does not reduce rights under an applicable MNDA.
9. Retention
For inquiries that do not lead to an engagement, our standard retention period is up to 24 months after the last substantive interaction. We then delete or de-identify the associated inquiry and attachments from active systems unless retention is needed for legal compliance, litigation holds, fraud prevention, demonstrable consent records, or another justified purpose. Records associated with active clients may be retained during the engagement and under the applicable contract, legal and operational retention requirements. Backups may expire on a separate technical cycle; we restrict their ordinary use. Marketing subscription records are retained while subscribed and limited suppression records may be kept after an opt-out to prevent further messages.
10. Security and Breach Response
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, such as access restrictions and security-oriented service-provider selection. No service or transmission is guaranteed to be secure. We investigate suspected security incidents and provide applicable notifications when required by law.
11. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
You may use the website consultation form or email info@workinganswergroup.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, withdraw optional marketing consent, or raise a concern. We may verify your identity and may retain records where legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights and security. Depending on your location and whether a privacy law applies to our processing, additional rights may include data portability, restriction, objection, opt-out of specified processing, appeal of a denied request, and a complaint to a data protection authority. We will respond within the applicable legal timeframe. Residents of Maryland may have statutory rights under Maryland law when its coverage requirements are met.
12. International Visitors and Data Transfers
We operate from the United States and accept inquiries from businesses worldwide. Our hosting, CRM, email, analytics, and storage vendors may process information in the United States and other jurisdictions. Where international transfer restrictions apply to a particular processing activity, we will use appropriate lawful arrangements. If our activities trigger jurisdiction-specific obligations such as the EU/UK GDPR, we will provide any additional notices and mechanisms required before conducting that processing; mere availability of the Site worldwide does not mean we intentionally target every country.
13. Children and Other Websites
This is a professional business Site intended for adults aged 18 and older; we do not knowingly solicit data from children. Please contact us if you believe a child provided personal information. External websites linked from our Site are governed by their own privacy policies.
14. Updates
We may revise this Policy as our technology, services, or legal duties change. The current version and effective date will appear on the Site. We will give any additional notice or obtain new consent before a material change when required by law.
